  • What is Eyelash Extension?
Eyelash extension is an advanced technique that lengthens and thickens eyelashes. They are single strands of lashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. In RELASH, we only use high quality extensions. You are promised to feel the difference.
  • What is the Benefit to Have Eyelash Extensions on?
The benefits of lash extensions are far beyond just opening the eyes and eliminating the trouble of applying mascaras; they give you immense confidence and actual glamour from within as you go about your day. Eyelash extensions can help bring back a youthful glow look. If you don't know, now you know.
  • What is a Fill & How Often Should I Get One?
First, we'll remove old extensions that are twisted, grew too long, or lifted. (We will leave the extensions that are in a good condition), then we will fill with new extensions. Fills are done every two to three weeks depending on care and how quickly your eyelashes grow( *Hair growth circle) .
  • What to Prepare Before Getting Eyelash Extensions?
    - Take shower as close as possible to your appointment time since you cannot take shower for 24hrs after the application. - Arrive with no make-up. If your lashes are dirty, glue won’t adhere to niether natural lash so this will make lashes fall off quicker and easier. - To have a more relaxed experience, avoid any caffeinated beverages before the application, this can cause eye twitching. - Do not curl your lashes the day of your appointment. - If you are a contact lens wearer, wear your glasses to your appointment.
  • What is the Aftercare?
    - Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first 24 hours. The extensions need that amount of time to properly bond. - Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes. - Do not use eyelash curlers with your extensions. With proper application you will not need them. - Brushing every day! If your eyelashes are tangled or crossed over, use the Spoolie given to you during your appointment to gently brush them straight and put them in place. You can purchase a longer life coating to extend the wear of your lash extensions in between fills. - Use only mascaras that are safe for eyelash extensions, no oil-based or waterproof mascaras. We have extension safe mascaras available for purchase at your appointment. - After showering avoid rubbing lashes, it best to blot them with a towel and let them air dry. - You can also dry the lashes by using a hair dryer on the cool setting and blowing them dry from the bottom up. It makes them curlier and fluffy. - Use care when applying facial and eye creams to avoid the lash line. Too many oil-based products can break down the adhesive. - We recommends refill appointments every two weeks to maintain the fullness
  • How Long Does a Complete Service Take?
The application process for classic eyelash extensions typically takes about 1 hour for a full set of lashes, and 1 hour for a refill. Volume eyelash extensions take 2 hours for a full set, and refills take about 1.5 hours.
  • How Long Do I Expect My Eyelash Extensions to Last?
When properly applied and cared for, your eyelash extensions will last up to four weeks. Please see the aftercare section on how to properly care for your eyelash extensions to maximize longevity.
  • Can I Use Eyelash Growth Products With My Extensions?
Lash growth products that contain steroids change the composition of your lashes and accelerate your eyelash shedding cycle, therefore we cannot guarantee the outcome. Natural lash growth products containing peptides are wonderful and will have no adverse effect on the longevity of your extensions.
  • Do I Still Need a Mascara?
No, you will not need to use mascara with your lash extensions, but for nights that you want extra drama you can use a water-based mascara. We carry several brands to choose from. See the aftercare section below for tips on using mascara.
  • Will I Lose Some of My Natural Eyelashes?
Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles, which occurs every 60 to 90 days. Depending on their individual lash growth cycles, a person can typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes every day. In nature, we lose our natural eyelash with or without extensions on. We recommend getting a fill every two to three weeks to fill in lashes on the new growth.
  • Why am I Losing My Extensions So Fast?
Lash extensions are not permanent and can fall out as your natural lashes go through a growth cycle. Many other things can factor into lashes falling out quicker such as.. weather(humidity/sweating), Hormones, Certain Medical Conditions, not brushing, over brushing (in this case 4-6 hours after your appointment), not cleaning the lashes at least every other day, using your fingers to pick or touch them, using oil based products on your eyes, saunas or spas, not using the proper lash cleanser, wind blowing in your face, the state and quality of your natural lashes, sleeping on your side or on your face, going to the beach and NOT properly caring for them after can also effect this. If you have sparse, weak and or lashes that lay down this can effect the longevity of the extensions.
  • How Safe is Eyelash Extension Service?
Eyelash extension is a professional service. When provided by a properly trained, certified technician, the service is considered substantially safe. Unlike some other beauty salons that marginaly provide lash related service, RELASH solely focus on eyelash extension services, and will maintain a high-quality control to ensure that safety to be the top priority. We believe in profession, and have a high standard.
  • A Friend of Mine Is Allergic to the Products, Is This Common?"
True allergic reactions do happen, but are rare. If you have developed an allergic reaction you may still wear extensions with some changes made to the aftercare process. What is more common is eye infection due to improperly washing and caring for your lashes. Waiting 24 hours to wash lashes and not washing your eyelashes the entire time you wear them are the most common causes of infections. Imagine not washing the head on your hair for weeks or months. This is the most common reason wearers lose their lashes prematurely.
